TGI-FriYAY Series: Qigong for All Levels with Nancy Goldberg
In-Studio and Online Friday, May 9 | 5:30-6:30pm
Qigong is a gentle and powerful way to address stress and improve your overall health. It uses slow and graceful movements, controlled breathing techniques and self-massage to reduce stress, improve mental focus, and strengthen the mind-body connection.
Like Yoga, Qigong is an energy-based practice that can initiate the body’s “relaxation response,” decreasing the activity of the sympathetic nervous system. Some of the benefits include reduced heart rate and blood pressure, optimizing the delivery of oxygen and nutrition to the tissues, and improved circulation and lymphatic flow, enhancing immune function. Qigong can also promote deeper sleep, moderate pain, reduce anxiety or depression, and help prevent and be part of the solution to some of our society’s most dangerous diseases: heart disease, diabetes and obesity, cancer, stroke, asthma and chronic lung disorders.
This class is safe and accessible for adults of all ages, including seniors. Your teacher Nancy Goldberg trained with and is certified bythe Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi (IIQTC), a non-for-profit dedicated to creating an energy healing revolution by mobilizing people of all ages, professions, economic and social status to accept the responsibility for personal health promotion and self-care.
