Substitute Yoga Teacher

The Happy Yogi is a community driven yoga studio. We are seeking a yoga teacher with interest and skill in teaching varying class styles and levels. Substitute teaching is currently available online or in-studio.

A qualified candidate…

  • Has completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training with a Yoga Alliance accredited school

  • Can offer modifications and options for varying needs

  • Is enthusiastic about working with diverse populations

  • Has a foundational understanding of yoga philosophy and incorporates it into their classes

  • Is comfortable teaching online and in-person

  • Has received a COVID-19 vaccine

In addition, the ideal candidate…

  • Uses body positive language when leading classes

  • Values and seeks out continuing education

  • Uses precise language in guiding others through asana

  • Has experience teaching different styles and levels of yoga

  • Has taken part in training beyond a 200 hour yoga teacher training

Promotion potential: Teachers hired for this position have the potential to become regular teachers on the schedule.
