If you’re feeling stressed and overwhelmed about the November election and other things in our complicated world, this workshop was designed with you in mind... and Natalie is coming all the way from West Virginia to help!
How can our hearts and spirits thrive, when just "getting by" feels challenging amidst such turmoil and uncertainty? What does it mean to find refuge in one’s center? This workshop will explore how cultivating centered presence is a powerful starting point for navigating all of life's ups and downs, AND the greatest thing we can do to bring healing within ourselves and our communities.
Following a discussion on inner refuge, resilience and the healing power of presence, Natalie will lead a deeply restful restorative yoga practice enhanced by nurturing touch and massage, followed by a guided Yoga Nidra meditation experience.*
Bolsters, blankets and blocks will be used (at-home participants should have these or pillows, couch cushions and large towels available) to enable maximum comfort in simple poses that will facilitate gentle and passive stretches within the body. Throughout the practice, Natalie will offer breathing techniques and other tools for soothing the central nervous system while living each day with more embodiment and joy.
*Please note that Natalie will be offering (optional) nurturing touch and massage to in-studio participants, so she will not be on the screen for the entirety of the workshop, but will ensure you know how to set up for the restorative poses.
