If you are new to yoga or wish to refine your practice, this six-week beginner series is for you.
Join Nancy to develop a repertoire of yoga postures designed to increase flexibility, strength and balance. Postures will be practiced seated, kneeling, standing and lying on your yoga mat. Safety will be emphasized through proper alignment, the use of yoga props and modifications to adapt the practice to suit your body.
Each class will include instruction on breathing techniques to variously calm, invigorate and/or balance the body and mind. Informed by yogic philosophy, you will gain a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of the body’s systems and cultivate compassionate self-awareness.
No prior yoga experience is required. Classes in this session will also be live-streamed for anyone who wishes to participate online via Zoom.
Cost: $119 for 6 weeks, or $23 per class to drop-in
